Alexandra graduated with a BA in Semiotics from Brown University and also studied film theory and production at l’Université de la Sorbonne in Paris, France and NYU Film School.

Alexandra was a co-creator of MTV’s revolutionary “Yo! MTV Raps.” She has two decades of work experience in film/television/print production, DVD publishing and marketing, cable TV advertising sales and seven years as a pundit, promoting her five published books on television, radio and the Internet.

Alexandra is the author of two bestselling guides about the recent underground hit independent films, Beyond The Bleep: The Definitive Unauthorized Guide To 'What The Bleep Do We Know!?" (Aug. 10, 2005), and Beyond the Secret: The Definitive Unauthorized Guide to “The Secret” (Dec. 7, 2007).

Her most recent book, co-authored with David Sokolin, Liquid Assets: Uncorking Profits in Today’s Global Wine Market, (Simon & Schuster. Hardcover - May 6, 2008) has endorsements on the back cover by Sandy Weill, Chairman Emeritus, Citigroup Inc. and Hamilton "Tony" James, President and CEO, The Blackstone Group.
